Ryan Giggs is a name that has been celebrated in the Transfer Tavern for decades now.
The Welshman (footballing wise anyway…..) is revered all across the world following a majestic career with Manchester United and is widely regarded as a club legend.
However, even the 42-year old has not been able to keep out of the storm that is Jose Mourinho’s potential move to Old Trafford this summer.
While the wave that is the Portuguese tactician that had been appearing to be heading straight for the Theatre of Dreams has somewhat stalled, the managerial future of the Red Devils remains largely unclear.
Though the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ and Louis van Gaal are seemingly in a straight tussle for the role, there has also been a school of thought that Giggs takeover on a full-time basis.
He was an interim manager following the sacking of David Moyes, though soon became assistant to van Gaal upon his arrival in the summer of 2014.
Still, as much of a legend as he is with United, Mourinho’s arrival could see him call an end to his 28-year association with his beloved charges.
The Daily Mirror claims he will QUIT his role as assistant should the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager arrive in van Gaal’s stead.
The likes of Gary and Phil Neville are thought to be urging him to leave the club should he be passed over once more and seek breaking into management elsewhere.
Should Giggs leave Manchester United to make it as a manager elsewhere?
