United fans have been in extremely high spirits in the Football Transfer Tavern today as the bar staff have been sharing some big news with them surrounding yet another mammoth signing, which shows Mourinho means business.
According to reports in the Daily Star, representatives from Old Trafford are in advanced talks to complete the signing of French international, Paul Pogba, after tabling a bid of £80m.
The 23-year-old, who was released by Man United in 2012, a decision that has been regretted ever since as the club have watched him go from strength to strength in his time with Juventus.
It had been reported that Real Madrid were chasing the signature of the midfielder, who is currently away at his home European Championships with France. However, according to the Daily Star, a chance to work with Jose Mourinho in the Premier League is tempting Pogba to snub the Galacticos.
The six-foot-three versatile midfielder would add a real element of security to the Manchester outfit, comfortable playing at the front or back of a midfield, Jose will be able to deploy him in a number of roles.
The Frenchman has been turning heads across Europe ever since he joined Juventus and has scored 28 goals in 124 appearances for the Italian champions, and as our Landlord noted, he has an eye for a quite spectacular goal.
