Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are raising their ales and looking to the future, amid news the Red Devils are in talks to bring an exciting youngster to the club.
According to The Daily Mail, United are currently discussing a deal to sign the 15-year-old, who has already had trials with Fulham and fellow Premier League outfit Everton.
In fact, his dad is Peter Vint; an academy director at Goodison Park who was the United States Olympic Committee’s Senior Director of Competitive Analysis, Research and Innovation for the Rio 2016 Olympics – where Team USA cleaned up and dominated the medals chart.
Vint junior has previously trained with Real Colorado but now appears keen to follow his father into English football by joining one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.
Manchester United have taken significant steps to change up their youth system recently, with Class of ’92 icon Nicky Butt taking over from Brian McClair as the head of their academy last year.
There has been a distinct lack of youngsters successfully progressing to the first team in recent years, with Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford representing rare exceptions, and United punters in the Transfer Tavern are delighted to see their club pushing to sign an exciting young prospect.
