Man United, Liverpool and Spurs on red alert as Euro giants put Spain star up for sale

Barta

Manchester United and Liverpool fans will argue over just about anything in the Transfer Tavern, and reports from Spanish daily Marca have not helped matters.

With both clubs on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, they have reportedly been given a major boost after Barcelona made Marc Bartra available for transfer.

Much like the departure of Thiago Alcantara to Bayern Munich in 2013, the 25-year old has failed to feature in more than 60% of games this term, opening up a clause in his deal.

Both the Red Devils and the Anfield giants have been mooted as landing spots before, prompting suggestions they could once again make their interest known.

Furthermore, the Daily Express suggest the figure is a meagre £9.3m. Considering he’s a Champions League winning Spanish international, that could ultimately prove to be a bargain.

Spurs have also previously been linked with the La Masia graduate, whose equally adept as a full-back as he is at centre-half.

For such a good price, is Bartra a must have this summer? Or is there a reason he can’t get into this Barca side, considering their defensive frailty?
