Man United make goalkeeper request

Things are going pretty well for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, who’ve watched Jose Mourinho turn the tide for the Red Devils.

Six Premier League wins on the bounce have put the Old Trafford giants right back in contention for the top four and life under the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is finally starting to look like a pleasant one.

After a slow start to his tenure, the Portuguese looks to finally be making strides in his attempts to restore former glories to a club who have suffered a remarkable fall from grace.

Now, in his attempts to fully round out his squad, the 53-year-old has made a decision over one of his goalkeepers it seems.

According to O JogoMourinho has requested Joel Pereira cut short his loan with Belenenses in an official letter to the Portuguese side.

It’s thought top brass at the Theatre of Dreams believe the young stopper has adequate experience to act as a third-choice custodian, with Sam Johnstone expected to leave the club on loan this month.
