Man United man reportedly open to leaving this summer after difficult season

Much of the talk amongst the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern has largely centred around the idea of seeing big name players arrive to strengthen Jose Mourinho’s assault on the Premier League title.

Indeed, while it looks as if the likes of Gareth Bale won’t be touching down in Manchester this summer, our resident Red Devils are pretty much delighted about the complexion of their summer window thus far, having landed Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.

So, reports emanating out of Italy suggesting a big name could be on his way OUT of the Theatre of Dreams has intrigued our punters. According to CalcioMercatoAnthony Martial is open to the idea of a loan move over to Inter Milan, having been touted as a potential makeweight amid United’s links with Ivan Perisic.

The Frenchman endured a relatively difficult second season with the club last term and may face a fight for first-team minutes next season, so is thought to have given the Nerazzurri the ok over a potential move. Still, the report does also state the Premier League giants are not keen on allowing the 21-year-old to leave Old Trafford and are also reportedly cold on Inter’s valuation of Perisic.

Landlord’s Verdict

Letting Martial leave, even on loan, could be a disaster. Granted, he struggled to convince last season, though proved a revelation during his first campaign in England inconsistency and is always to be expected from such a young player.

Able to operate either as a wide or central forward, the former Monaco man can be a huge asset ahead of next season.
