Man United man set for big weekend role

Though the English national side is perhaps at its lowest ever ebb, the punters in the Transfer Tavern find themselves discussing all things Three Lions once more.

With Gareth Southgate now in charge, many of the long-suffering England fans have been hoping for a new dawn over Wembley.

So, reports from the Sun have had some of the punters in good spirits at long last.

They claim Marcus Rashford is set to be handed a start in the World Cup qualifier against Malta on the weekend.

After notching a sensational hat-trick for the U21 side, as well as scoring on his international debut before the Euros, the 18-year-old will reportedly get a starting berth at Wembley.

The teenage sensation is understood to be in line for his first competitive start, with Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend thought to also be in contention.

Should Rashford be first-choice for England? Let us know below…
