Man United may not be done just yet as club monitor £25m-rated man

With Luke Shaw recently ramping up his return from injury recently, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been talking about just how big a season he needs at the club.

Having seemingly failed to fully convince Jose Mourinho last season, our resident Red Devils are hoping the England international can tap into his obvious potential this season.

Still, reports from ESPN suggest Mourinho is looking elsewhere in an effort to strengthen his options at left-back. They claim United retain an interest in Fulham youngster, Ryan Sessegnon.

The 17-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise in west London and has been touted as a potential Tottenham target before, having thrilled the Craven Cottage faithful.

Able to operate up and down the left flank, the Red Devils will reportedly continue to monitor his situation, despite an apparent feeling that the player wishes to stay in London should he depart the Cottagers.

He’s believed to be rated at around £25m by Fulham and, having seen some of his performances last season, our United-mad punters hope he ends up at Old Trafford.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Sessegnon is an absolutely huge talent, though perhaps he’d be better served continuing his development close to home for the next season or two.

At just 17, he has his whole career ahead of him and cutting his teeth in the Championship may be the best avenue to take right now.
