Man United must do all they can to prize £6.75m-rated Man City starlet away

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are more than jealous of their bitter rivals Man City as they claimed the Premier League title, despite losing to the Red Devils recently.

Everything about Man City has made them worthy champions but United won’t want to stand there clapping the achievements of their rivals, instead what they need to do is plan how they will amend this season and bring the Premier League trophy back to Old Trafford.

Our punters are inclined to think that if Manchester United are to become as good as their rivals, stealing their players may be a brilliant way to improve their own team.

A player United fans are particularly keen on is Pablo Maffeo, a right-back currently valued at £6.75 million on Transfermarkt. The 20-year-old has spent the season on-loan to Spanish side Girona and to say the least, has impressed massively. Some are dubbing him City’s right-back for years to come but with their recent signing Kyle Walker performing so well, Maffeo may find it hard to break into the Citizens set-up, meaning United should swoop in.

After 28 total appearances so far, including a game of keeping Lionel Messi silent, Pablo Maffeo appears to our punters as the perfect replacement for the ageing Antonio Valencia.

Landlord’s Verdict:

There would be nothing better than for United to steal away one of City’s hottest prospects and see him perform brilliantly at Old Trafford for years to come. Persuading the Spaniard away from the Etihad may prove a hard task but if Man United want to progress their team and better themselves compared to City, thinking of the future is the perfect way to do this.
