Man United no closer to blockbuster deal for one of the game’s biggest names

Here we are again. The pendulum that is Jose Mourinho’s potential move to Old Trafford this summer has now seemingly ground to a halt. Not for the first time, mind.

The Transfer Tavern has had enough. Now, anyone who merely mentions the Portuguese by name is in danger of buying the whole pub a round!

To be fair, it’s hard not to. According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are no closer to a deal with the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ despite months of speculation.

It is claimed that NO formal approach has been made by the Manchester giants, despite a frustrating season all round under the stewardship of Louis van Gaal.

Though the Dutchman has steered them to the FA Cup final and is in with a chance of finishing in the top four, the 64-year old has come under intense scrutiny this term.

He still has a year left to go on his deal and has insisted he will be in charge next season.

Have United left it too long to land Mourinho?
