Man United open talks with exciting South American as Mourinho continues rebuild

With Manchester United struggling to perform in the league these days, the only thing that will cheer the Red Devils propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern appears to be a big transfer rumour.

Having splashed huge cash in the summer, the chequebook appears to once again be about for Jose Mourinho as he desperately tries to restore former glories at Old Trafford.

Now, according to TuttoMerctoWebUnited are aiming to bring in another defender.

They suggest representatives of Brazilian defender Guillherme Arana are in talks with top brass at the Theatre of Dreams.

Having publicly slated current left-back Luke Shaw, a move for the 19-year-old Corinthians player could be on the cards, with his agent reportedly locked in discussions at United’s headquarters.

Left-back has often proved a problem position for Man United, ever since Patrice Evra departed for Juventus in 2014, with Shaw’s progress having been stunted by a horrific leg break back in September 2014.

Since returning from his injury, the Englishman has looked a shadow of his former self – and Mourinho will be hoping that he returns to form sooner, rather than later.

Do United really need another LB, has Shaw been treated poorly? Let us know below…
