Man United outcast snubs move away, could stay until January

Of all the punters in the Transfer Tavern, the Manchester United supporting locals have probably been the loudest over the course of the last few months.

Having welcomed the likes of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford, it has been a dream summer in the eyes of many in Manchester.

Still, their incredible transition over the last few months has reportedly taken another shocking turn.

According to the Daily Record, Jose Mourinho induced outcast Bastian Schweinsteiger has REJECTED a move to Sporting Lisbon.

Despite seemingly being frozen out of the picture altogether, the World Cup winner is understood to have dismissed the idea of moving to the Portuguese capital.

It has been an unhappy spell for the Bayern Munich legend since leaving the Bavarian giants last summer, failing to live up to the sort of form that made him such an illustrious name in the European game.

While the Red Devils are said to have offered him a free transfer to Sporting, the 32-year-old is believed to have little interest in leaving the Premier League titans.

Though he is reported to have been told he is not in the plans of the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’, he is said to prefer a move to either the MLS or the Chinese Super League.

However, both of their transfer are shut right now, meaning he could be forced to wait until January.

Could Schweinsteiger be blamed? Surely the squad is better with him in it? Let us know below…
