As much money as €4m actually is, it is indicative of modern football that the punters in the Transfer Tavern have been do desensitised by huge sums of money that they cannot understand why clubs are not eager to simply shell it out!
Following reports from German outlet Bild (via Sport Witness), the Manchester United supporting locals are astounded by suggestions Borussia Dortmund are open to the idea of selling midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, should the club up their bid to €40m.
Having reportedly already tabled an offer of €36m (roughly £28m), the Red Devils are clearly keen on luring the 23 goal attacker to Old Trafford this summer.
With just a year left on his deal, the German giants are understood to be willing to sell, but ONLY if they receive an offer they simply cannot refuse.
They have already sold Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels to Manchester City and Bayern Munich respectively and run the risk of falling further behind the Bavarian titans next term.
Still, an offer of €40m, an amount that equates to around £30m could be enough to turn their heads.
