Man United ready to move for €25m-rated powerhouse despite Chelsea interest

Delighted following their FA Cup progress and hopeful of retaining their crown, the Manchester United supporters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are content with life under Jose Mourinho.

While the Portuguese hasn’t had the instant impact many expected him to, the Red Devils are once again beginning to look like a team under his watch and the notion of restoring former glories looks closer than ever since Sir Alex Ferguson departed.

Now, following reports from the Daily Record, the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ looks ready to add to his side.

According to their report, United are ready to battle both Manchester City and Chelsea for the services of Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, after Mourinho reportedly identified him as the man he wants to strengthen his central midfield.

Following big interest in the 22-year-old defensive midfielder, the Ligue 1 outfit are understood to have changed their position over the fact he could be sold in this market as the suitors circle.

They are believed to value the French powerhouse at a minimum of €25m and have previous in charge United big money for young talents, having done so with Anthony Martial in 2015.

With solid defensive midfielders proving so hard to come by these days, our United supporters are hopeful top brass can get a deal done.
