Man United reportedly keen on major money swoop this summer as club plot for future

Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern may be wondering what the next outburst from Jose Mourinho entails, however, they will be excited with one of his next transfer targets during the summer window.

The Red Devils boss appears to be ready to wield the axe on Luke Shaw’s time at Manchester United after a training ground bust-up prior to being substituted at half-time during their FA Cup victory against Brighton and Hove Albion. The former Southampton left-back had battled back from a serious injury, which may have ended his career, however, Mourinho does not appear convinced that the 22-year-old is the right man for the job.

The Portuguese manager has turned his attention to Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon, according to a report by The Sun. The newspaper claims the Old Trafford outfit would need to splash out around £40million to be able to lure him away from Craven Cottage.

The 17-year-old, who lifted the Under-17 World Cup with England last summer, has been impressive for the Cottagers, scoring a number of goals and attracting plenty of interest from a number of Premier League clubs. As you can imagine, he’d be a very popular addition amongst our punters.

Landlord’s Verdict

Sessegnon is a player who has an untold amount of potential in the game and looks destined to go very far with his career. Manchester United fans in the Tavern would be delighted if they can get the young English talent and will be desperate for Mourinho to sign him this summer.
