Our Manchester United fans are feeling pretty indifferent here in the Transfer Tavern and you have to say that largely reflects their recent form.
Indeed, despite the club proving very hard to beat under Jose Mourinho in recent times they’ve also found it hard to get wins themselves.
Recent draws against Liverpool, Stoke and Hull City have shown it’s a problem against all levels of opponent in the league this year and our landlord reckons Jose Mourinho has work to do if he is to win the league with the club.
That could start with signing some of the seasons best performers to new contracts and The Sun believes Michael Carrick is in line for a new deal.
The midfield veteran has had a good campaign and has reminded us all of what he can do with the ball at his feet but there does appear to be a catch.
Indeed, the ex-Spurs man will have to take a pay cut if he wants to stay at the club past this year.
Our landlord thinks he will sign, though, as he should still be guaranteed good amounts of football into 2017/18.
