Ahead of their tie against St Etienne later tonight, the Manchester United fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are discussing the nature of life under Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese has seemingly started something special at Old Trafford of late, with the 54-year-old at least improving both the style of play and the general feeling of the first-team. Though the league title was always a tad too ambitious considering the last few years, the glamour is back at the Theatre of Dreams.
That’s been in no small part down to the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. While his age upon arrival may have raised a few eyebrows, the 35-year-old has taken to life on these shores very well indeed, notching 20 goals for the Red Devils already. So, it’s fair to say the former Barcelona and AC Milan marksman is a hero for our punters.
Which is exactly why reports from the Sun have gone down oh so well. They claim the superstar Swede is set to sit down with Mourinho over the course of the next week as they map out his future. He penned a one-year deal upon joining from Paris Saint-Germain, though with an option to extend his stay at the Theatre of Dreams for another 12 months.
Will Ibrahimovic be at United next season? Let us know below…
