Man United should seriously pursue £45m-rated defender to improve ahead of next season

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are not only hoping that this summer they build a team good enough to compete for the Premier League title, but they specifically want a quality left-back to secure a tight-knit defence.

In what started as a very promising season, United dropped their form and also quashed any chances of them winning the Premier League. Inconsistent form like that will not be acceptable this season and to improve their team, our punters believe that Alex Sandro, who is valued at £45 million on Transfermarkt, should be brought in to improve on the unpredictable Luke Shaw.

The English left-back on his day could be one of the best in the league but unfortunately for him, Jose Mourinho doesn’t seem to be the biggest fan of the ex-Saint and so he could find his position taken this summer.

On the other hand, Alex Sandro is one of the most highly-rated fullbacks in the game and a player Manchester United would do very well to persuade to join the club.

Having made 38 appearances for Juventus this season which includes scoring 4 goals and getting 6 assists, the Brazilian is an influential player for the Italian outfit and must be signed at all costs if United want to increase their chances of domestic and European success next year. He’s brilliant at dribbling and crossing, and so he’d be a fantastic asset going forward.

Jose Mourinho is certainly not used to failing in his second season but going into his third term at United, he will be determined to take the Red Devils back to the summit of English football and the capture of Alex Sandro would be a huge step in the right direction and to help achieve that goal.
