It was a busy day for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern yesterday, as they toasted three new arrivals to White Hart Lane.
After a relatively quiet summer, the North London locals were delighted to see Daniel Levy splash the cash in the closing stages of the window.
Not to rain on their parade too much, some of the other drinkers in this evening have dragged up reports from the Daily Mail just to stop them gloating.
The report claims that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino DID make an attempt to reunite with former Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this summer.
However, current club Manchester United reportedly told the Argentine that the 26-year-old remained in their plans, despite losing his place to Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini.
He has played just five minutes of football so far this season, though Jose Mourinho is believed to have informed Spurs that he needed cover for both domestic cup competitions.
It is further suggested that Pochettino will return to the potential deal in January if the Les Blues international continues on the bench.
Is Schneiderlin simply too good to be wasted on the bench? Let us know below…
