Man United stalwart hints at quick-fire exit

After being bored almost to death last night, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are finally starting to wake up this evening.

‘Red Monday’ was absolutely dreadful and the United fans propping up the bar have been trying to find something else to talk about, such is the anti-climactic feeling amongst them.

So, reports from the Birmingham Mail suggesting one of their academy graduates could be on the move soon have given food for thought.

Sam Johnstone was recently handed a new deal at Old Trafford, though has revealed he would like to go out on loan in order to get some games under his belt.

Aston Villa have previously been touted as a potential suitor as they look to draft in another stopper and the 23-year-old has seemingly told fans online he’d like to leave to get more experience.

“Why don’t you go on loan and get game time mate … You’re a good Keeper with great potential’, asked a fan on his Instagram page, to which he replied: “That’s exactly what I want to do.”

The former England U20 international has represented the Red Devils at every level, having been at the club since he was 10.

He’s a stalwart behind the scenes at the club, though could look elsewhere in the short-term to further his development.

Where would Johnstone be best suited? Let us know below…
