The Jose Mourinho is yet to wholly convince the Manchester United fans parked up at the bar in the Transfer Tavern as the Red Devils struggle through yet another campaign.
Life under the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ hasn’t taken off at all, despite their blockbuster summer of transfer activity, and the Red Devils are some way off the pace in the Premier League title race.
Still, it seems not everyone is getting too disheartened about the nature of performances under the Portuguese’s stewardship.
With the 53-year-old grabbing far more headlines than he is results-wise right now, one of his stars has jumped to his defence.
Midfielder Ander Herrera believes their league standing doesn’t fully reflect the way they’ve been playing of late, with the club drawing far too many games.
They were denied all three points against Arsenal thanks to a late Olivier Giroud header, while West Ham stopper Darren Randolph produced a number of top-class saves during their recent 1-1 clash at Old Trafford.
To that end, the Spaniard is clearly convinced he and his teammates deserve much, much more this season.
“I don’t know what to say. At the moment, luck is completely against us”, said the 27-year-old (quotes sourced by ESPN.)
