Few sets of punters in the Transfer Tavern this summer have displayed the contrasting emotions of the proverbial silly season than Manchester United and Hull supporters.
With the Red Devils breaking a world record to land Paul Pogba, coupled with the arrivals of talent such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Old Trafford goers have been in delirious delight for much of the past few months.
Meanwhile, it has been an entirely different situation for those hailing from Humberside during the close season.
Still no senior signings and doubts about whether or not Mike Phelan will be handed the manager’s job on a full-time basis, their solid start to the campaign has come as a complete shock.
Now, the two contrasting sides could see their summers intertwine after all.
According to Sky Sports, the Tigers expect to sign Will Keane from the Premier League titans before the close of the transfer window, with the forward undergoing a medical.
The 23-year old is clearly behind the aforementioned superstar Swede and Marcus Rashford in the striking ranks under Jose Mourinho.
He has played just three times for the club, though worked in the youth and reserve setups under Phelan during his time there.
That being said, a deal is reportedly expected as the top flight new boys look to add to a squad boasting just 14 senior players.
Is Keane good enough to make it in the top flight? Let us know below….
