Man United take big step in signing €120m-rated Euro 2016 star, talks begin

Reports from Spain have got Manchester United fans over by the dartboard in the Football Transfer Tavern extremely excited about who could be on his way to Old Trafford.

Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that representatives from United are now in serious talks with the agent of Euro 2016 poster boy, Paul Pogba.

According to AS United representatives are keen to get in and secure a deal ahead of Mourinho’s former club, Real Madrid, but the Frenchman won’t come cheap. Juventus, who are keen to hold onto their man, have reportedly slapped a €120m price tag on his head, that’s just under £100m.

Pogba, who is still with the France team at this summer’s Euros, notched ten goals for Juventus over the last season, with some quite spectacular goals in there, but is yet to open his account with France at his home tournament.

United may well have an edge over other teams chasing the 23-year-old as he is represented by the same agent as two of Mourinho’s other targets this summer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

United fans, what do you think? Can you beat Real Madrid to Pogba? And how exciting would it be to see him back at United? Let us know below…
