Amid perhaps the most blockbuster summer spending spree of all time, Manchester United have been linked with a shock move for Southampton skipper Jose Fonte.
An experienced head in central defence, the Portuguese would round off the summer of change at Old Trafford in the most sensible of ways, something not so prevalent at the Theatre of Dreams recently.
Clearly, those on South Coast would like to keep the 32-year old, with Arsenal also thought to have thrown their hats into the ring.
However, the saga has taken another twist, following reports from the Daily Mirror.
For they claim that Jose Mourinho is willing to include Argentine flop Marcos Rojo in a deal to lure the former Crystal Palace man to his overhaul.
Rojo was a big money signing under Louis van Gaal, though has failed to wholly convince as either a central defender or a left-back.
He is understood to have recently snubbed a move to China, preferring to remain in European football, and could move to St. Mary’s.
Could Rojo flourish at St. Mary’s? Let us know below..
