The 35-year-old striker joined the Red Devils last summer after seeing out his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, and although there were doubts surrounding his ability to make an impact in England given his age, his weekend goal vs. Sunderland made it 28 for the season from him.
However, there has been some doubt surrounding Ibrahimovic’s future, with his contract due to expire in a few months’ time.
There has been speculation that the Scandinavian may relocate to America to play for Major League Soccer giants Los Angeles Galaxy, but now TuttoMercatoWeb claim tat he is closing in on an agreement to renew his deal at Man United.
The Italian outlet even go as far as to say that the details could be ironed out within the coming two weeks, tying him to the Old Trafford club for another season.
If true, it will come as a boost for Man United as they chase down a Champions League berth for 2017/18, which could come via league position of winning the Europa League.
Manchester United’s reliance on Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a problem – agree?
