Man United would be smart to swoop for £16.2m-rated South American jewel this summer

Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are disappointed with how their season has gone, from hunting trophies to settling for just second place in the league, there are no big trophies in sight for Jose Mourinho.

As the Red Devils have enjoyed years of success, a season such as this will not be taken lightly and United will hope to do all they can in the transfer market this summer to make sure that trophies come flooding back to Old Trafford. Mourinho has been under pressure for his treatment of players but what cannot be denied is the fact that Jose Mourinho is a manager who wins trophies.

With the Red Devils having a huge transfer allowance, Mourinho really could have anyone he wants. Despite all the money, we believe that The Red Devils would be smart to grab West Ham’s shining star Manuel Lanzini, as the creative midfielder is valued at just £16.20 million on Transfermarkt.

Although recently the 25-year-old has been battling with injuries, he has still made a telling influence on West Ham’s season, scoring 3 goals and creating an impressive eight assists for teammates. The little Argentinian star arrived at the London Stadium from Saudia Arabia and was deemed as a waste of a signing. Little did fans realise, Lanzini has nimble feet, an eye for goal and the ability to turn defenders inside out. West Ham fans adore Lanzini and Manchester United could do a lot worse than to bring him in this summer.

Indeed, adding his craft and guile to their attack could help link everything together and get the best out of players such as Alexis Sanchez, Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku.

Our punters would love to see the 25-year-old take his game to the next level and a move to Man United would bring him that ability.
