Man United’s £17m valuation on record-breaker not met by PL rivals

While the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted about progression into the Europa League final, it was by no means pretty.

Though the Red Devils are just one win away from a European trophy and qualification in the Champions League, Jose Mourinho’s side are yet to wholly convince this season.

So, to take their minds off Mourinho’s stalling progress, the punters propping up the bar are discussing big reports from the Daily Mail.

They’ve revealed the Old Trafford giants HAVE made Everton striker Romelu Lukaku their top summer transfer target and could reportedly use skipper Wayne Rooney as a makeweight.

The Toffees are understood to value the Premier League’s top scorer at a staggering £100m, with United said to consider their record goalscorer at just £17m.

For their part, Everton are not thought to be willing to pay much more than £10m for their former star, who is said to be keen on leaving the Theatre of Dreams on his own terms and not as a potential sweetener.

As you can imagine, the Man United fans here just want the deal done quickly.
