Man United’s van Gaal flop set for quick-fire Bundesliga return, controversial move mooted

The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern still waxing poetic over the immediate impact of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club have been delving deep into Jose Mourinho’s inspired overhaul.

While the world waits with baited breath to see whether or not Paul Pogba returns to Old Trafford, the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is working hard to cut any deadwood from his squad.

With that in mind, according to notorious journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, World Cup winning flop Bastian Schweinsteiger is due to make a quick-fire return to Germany.

Despite links with Inter Milan, the 32-year old’s high wages could prove to be difficult for an Italian team to pay, making it likely he would move back to his homeland.

The Italian journalist mentions two potential landing spots, one being former club Bayern Munich and the other, in what would be a hugely controversial move, arch-rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Having won the Bundesliga a stunning eight times, the dynamic midfielder is a legend in German football and would represent a huge signing for any club.

Could Mourinho get the best out of the German midfielder? Would he be a good squad option? Let us know below…
