Man Utd send representatives to watch player in action, club weighing up move

Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been celebrating their recent form but they’re under no illusions that they could be doing better.

Many at the bar believe that Manchester United’s defence could still be improved and it seems that the hierarchy within Old Trafford agree, as they’re reportedly eyeing a move for one of the brightest young talents on the British Isles.

The Daily Mirror¬†states Manchester United are eyeing Celtic’s 19-year-old left-back Kieran Tierney, who has developed into a top-class player in Scotland this season under the guidance of former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

Currently making his way back from a two-month lay-off, Manchester United scouts have watched the teenager in action but they’ll find competition for his signature fierce- as the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in his services.

Tierney’s impressive performances this season include a great display in Celtic’s 3-3 draw with Manchester City in the Champions League and the Scottish champions face a struggle to keep hold of them, although a sale in the summer is most likely.
