Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola and Manchester United executive Ed Woodward are holding peace talks again, according to the Mirror.
Woodward initially ended all ties with the infamous super-agent after Raiola made a string of public attacks on the Red Devils at the beginning of the year. However, the two have called an uneasy truce in an attempt to quell any lingering animosity, with the United chief hopeful Raiola will finally stop criticising the club.
The report claims Pogba has pleaded with his representative to ease his confrontational approach.
Raiola has had numerous spats with the United board over the years, recently launching a scathing attack on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before the 2-0 victory over Chelsea, insisting the club legend can’t keep Pogba a “prisoner” at the club (talkSPORT).
The 27-year-old’s current contract expires in June 2021, and the Reds do have the option to extend the agreement for a further year, although Pogba has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid. The Mirror adds United value the Frenchman at £100m.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously stated he wants the French World Cup winner to stay in Manchester but it remains to be seen whether or not Pogba will still be in England before the start of next season.
Would you like to see Paul Pogba stay at Manchester United?
Unsurprisingly loads of supporters responded angrily to the truce talks, with many suggesting Pogba should be allowed to leave Old Trafford in the summer. One fan even branded the negotiations as a “disasterclass.”

After all the insult that he has thrown at the club, should we still bend to him? No
Pogba is hugely talented and the best player currently. But he is not worth the circus he brings along

This guy insulted us, thinking we won’t bounce back, now that he sees that the club is taking a meaningful direction he wants to apologize and make things right, fine, we forgive him but maybe taking his player and go somewhere else is best for everyone 🤷♂️

All the Pogba problems would disappear if he fired Raiola.
