Manchester United: Emile Heskey’s comments on Jack Grealish divide Red Devils - Manchester United

Former England international Emile Heskey has urged Aston Villa’s captain Jack Grealish to move to Manchester United in the summer, and his latest comments have divided the Red Devils fan base.

Speaking to Genting Bet, Heskey said “there is every chance that Jack Grealish will join Man United in the summer. I don’t think that Jack will be at Villa come the end of the season. He’s done a phenomenal job for them since he started out at the club.”

“I played with him when I was at Villa, he was only a young lad, he used to come and train with us – he was a phenomenal player even then and he has gone from strength to strength. He’s taken everything on his shoulders at a young age. He’s a very young captain but has been very positive with it.”

The 42-year-old concluded “he’s stayed at Villa a lot longer than a lot of people would have thought he would, so full credit to him. Villa will now get a decent fee for him and he’ll go on and make a stellar career.”

Grealish has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, despite Villa being sucked into the relegation battle, and the club captain helped his side reach the League Cup final.

The 24-year-old has featured in 26 appearances in the English top-flight for Dean Smith’s Claret and Blues, netting 7 goals and creating 6 assists, as well as taking 2.1 shots per game, making 2.7 key passes on average, and successfully completing 2.2 dribbles throughout the campaign so far (WhoScored).

His current market value is estimated at £34.2m via Transfermarkt and the midfielder has been strongly tipped to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad in the upcoming transfer window (Evening Standard).

Manchester United have won 20 Premier League titles - but how many points did they finish with for their first in 1992/93?

The Old Trafford faithful are divided over Heskey’s thoughts on Grealish’s transfer links, with one supporter even saying Jesse Lingard is “better than him,” and another calling the former England U21 international “over hyped.”
