Following the emergence of a photographed Eric Bailly back in training after recovery from a knee injury, courtesy of the Manchester Evening News, Red Devils supporters have flocked to social media in order to praise the Ivorian as well as beg boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to give the player another chance to prove himself.
Bailly, who has suffered from a plethora of injury issues over the last few seasons (Transfermarkt), so much so that he has only featured 25 times overall in the Premier League from 2017 to 2020, could be back in contention to compete following recovery from his latest knock.
The Ivory Coast international, who was a regular starter for Manchester United during the 2016/2017 season, did seem to impress when given the chance – registering 2.4 tackles and 2.4 interceptions per game on average, as per WhoScored.com. Record defensive signing Harry Maguire, by comparison, has only managed to muster 1.1 and 1.7 in each regard – perhaps hinting at Bailly’s potentially robust contribution if given the opportunity.
As a result, some United supporters understandably see the merit in bringing the 25-year-old back into the fold – find all of their best comments down below.
