There were gasps of surprise last night as it was revealed that Manchester City had sacked manager Roberto Mancini one year to the day of claiming their famous first Premier League title with that Aguero goal. With David Moyes set to take over at Old Trafford next season from the retiring Sir Alex Ferguson it’s all change in Manchester from next season.
However that doesn’t prevent talkSPORT from linking both sides with a possible summer move for Udinese youngster Piotr Zielinski with another transfer battle on the cards. Memorably the rivals fought for the signature of then-Arsenal star Robin van Persie last year before he decided to move to Old Trafford and the rest as they say is history.
The 18-year-old only broke into the Udinese first team this season but he has already featured nine times in Serie A and scouts from both Manchester clubs have reportedly been keeping an eye on the Polish youngster with a view to a possible transfer.
Zielinski is already regarded as one of the most promising talents in Italy and he has represented Poland at Under-21 level.
