Manchester United fans will be expecting big things from the January and summer transfer windows considering they’re nine points off the top four, never mind challenging for the title. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Sky Sports he’s prepared to enter the market at the start of 2020, and names are being bandied about, including Brighton starlet Ben White, according to The Athletic.
The 22-year-old centre-back is currently on loan at Leeds United and has played in all 16 games for the Whites in the Championship this season. On WhoScored, he’s been rated an average of 7.22/10 for his performances in what is a very difficult team to be a defender in, given Marcelo Bielsa’s focus on attacking play. He’s yet to make a start for Brighton in the Premier League, making just two appearances in the Carabao Cup, but the report suggests both United and Liverpool are interested.
Man United news aggregator Utd Report paraphrased the story on their Twitter account, but most fans seem underwhelmed, to say the least. Most were asking who the player is, why they aren’t buying a bigger name and why they aren’t aiming to strengthen other positions instead.

Never heard of him. Nor have the experts that are going to either crucify United for wanting to sign him or beg United to sign him.

Should Jadon Sancho be Manchester United's primary target?
