Manchester United fans are bubbling with excitement after a report from The Athletic about Erling Haaland’s father.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein (via the Daily Mail), the Austrian forward’s father was seen at the club’s Carrington training ground.
Should Jadon Sancho be Manchester United's primary target?
Haaland has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford giants in January, with Goal reporting that the club is confident of getting a deal completed in the winter window.
The Norway international has been in stunning form for the Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg having scored 26 times in 18 appearances, including five hat-tricks (via Transfermarkt).
Earlier this month, the player’s father appeared on talkSPORT to talk about a potential move, stating the 19-year-old’s intentions to play in the English top-flight.
The news surrounding the young forward has got the fanbase excited at the prospect of seeing him in a United shirt as they took to Twitter to react. One fan even compared him to a young Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:
