Manchester United: Some fans can’t wait for Paul Pogba to leave amid rumours

Paul Pogba has been surrounded by uncertainty this season, with him being spotted chatting to Zinedine Zidane and being kept out with an ankle injury for what some fans see as an unusually long time.
He’s made just four appearances in all competitions this season, making two assists in that time, but Scott McTominay seems to be developing well in his absence.
Is Scott McTominay a future Manchester United captain?
Yes

No

The 22-year-old has started all 12 Premier League games so far this season, and although the club made their worst start to a season for 31 years, the youngster has impressed in an area where Pogba hasn’t always. McTominay’s work-rate and desire to win the ball is clear through his 2.3 tackles per game, third only to Fred, 2.4, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 5.4, and his ball work has meant he’s being fouled 2.7 times per game, the most in the squad. Paul Pogba may be more attacking-minded, but WhoScored note that he makes just 1.6 tackles per game and is fouled on average just 1.4 times per game.
Man United news aggregator Stretty News posted a link to a story in which they cite a report by Spanish outlet Eldesmarque (via Daily Star) saying Real Madrid are preparing to offer £68.5m in a player-plus-cash deal for the Frenchman. They asked their followers if they expect Pogba to be a United player next season. Most predicted he wouldn’t be, but they didn’t seem to bothered by that.

You can see some of their reactions to the tweet below:
No & good riddance…. the most overrated footballer of the modern era, absolute waste of money & time. Can’t wait for him to join Madrid, their fans won’t tolerate him, unlike our lot of insecure fans who idolize players like him

Cash in, unfortunately it hasn’t worked out and his hearts not in it. #dollarsforrebuild

With a bit of luck he’ll be gone.

Nope and don’t want the lazy mercenary pig either

Didn’t realise he was still here 🤷🏻♂️

No. I expect him to stay this season, but he will definitely go in the summer. And if it is this deal with £68m plus ISCO, I’d snap their grubby little hands off!
