Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and officials at the club have been under immense pressure since the Norwegian signing on a permanent basis at the helm, picking up just four wins in 14 Premier League games this season despite a flurry of brilliant results when he took over from Jose Mourinho last campaign.

Despite investing heavily in the summer, breaking their transfer record for a defender to bring in star centre-back Harry Maguire, United have still been unable to gather momentum and challenge for a place in the top four despite seemingly having the tools in place – with the club’s general directors, the Glazers, Ed Woodward and the manager all back in the firing line.
