Manchester United: Fans discuss Angel Gomes as transfer news emerges - Manchester United

Manchester United want to resolve Angel Gomes’ future at Old Trafford by next week, via The Daily Mail.

United have failed to reach an agreement with Gomes’ representatives so far and have now issued an ultimatum to the teenager.

The 19-year-old has only played in six games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils and he will be able to leave the Theatre of Dreams next month as a free agent – unless circumstances change due to the ongoing pandemic.

According to The Mail, Ed Woodward has given the club a deadline up until May 21 to try and encourage the England U-20 international to stay in Manchester. The executive vice-chairman is keenly aware other European giants are monitoring the transfer saga, with Barcelona, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Premier League rivals Chelsea waiting in the wings.

Arsenal are also keeping a close eye on the situation, despite the fact English clubs will have to pay greater compensation.

Naturally, many United fans reacted to the transfer update on social media, with one supporter tweeting he is “better than Lingard and Pereira.”

Take a look at some of the mixed reactions down below…
