Manchester United: Fans don’t want to sign Mario Mandzukic

Manchester United fans don’t want the club to sign Mario Mandzukic after the club were linked with a move for the Juventus man.

According to The Express, the Red Devils have reached an agreement with the Croatia international over a move, however, the Turin-based club are demanding the north-west club cough up £10m for the forward.

Mandzukic has been left out in the cold by manager Maurizio Sarri this season as he’s not made a single appearance in Serie A (via Transfermarkt). The lack of game time comes after the 33-year-old signed a new one-year contract towards the end of last season, keeping him at the club until 2021 (via Total Croatia News).

United started the season with just three senior attackers after the sales of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez left for Internazionale. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking in recent weeks about actively looking for a forward in the January transfer window (via The Metro).

However, it seems fans don’t think Mandzukic is the player the club needs to sign as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:
