After drawing 1-1 to Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday, taking another blow to their top-four ambitions this season, Manchester United supporters took solace in the fact they could soon land a forward that they have been linked with for a while.
Do Manchester United need to sign Erling Haaland in January?
Speaking to The Sun after their clash with the Toffees, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted at the prospect of bringing Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland to Old Trafford amid his incredible campaign thus far.
The Norwegian, son of former Manchester City player Alf-Inge, has bagged a phenomenal 16 goals in 14 league appearances this season as well as eight strikes and an assist in the Champions League, as per WhoScored.com.
His national ties with Solskjaer, along with other factors, have drawn plenty of speculation surrounding the youngster’s potential move to the red half of Manchester.
Taking this into account, and the United boss’ teasing transfer comments, supporters are excited over a realistic swoop for the wonder kid.

He scored 29 goals in 27 games so far this season and he’s only 19 years of age. And he’s so much better with the ball than Lukaku.
