Manchester United: Fans fume at club’s board over decision not to pursue Joao Felix

Manchester United had considered signing Joao Felix in the summer but opted not to pursue the 19-year-old due to concerns about his physicality.
The Athletic reported that the Old Trafford club had lengthy discussions with the Portuguese teenager’s former club Benfica over the summer before he joined Atletico Madrid for £113m (as per The Mirror).
However, as noted by @utdreport on Twitter, they were concerned that he would not be able to cope with the physical demands of Premier League football and ultimately decided against signing him, while also keeping faith in Alexis Sanchez at the time before he eventually joined Inter on loan [via The Athletic].
Joao Felix's availability was discussed many times this summer, but #mufc had concerns about his physicality in the Premier League. At the time, the club also hoped Alexis Sanchez would still come good #mulive [the athletic]

Felix has scored three goals in his first 10 games for Atletico this season, the same return that United’s joint top scorer Marcus Rashford has posted. Daniel James, one of three players signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this summer, also has three goals for the Red Devils so far this term.
These Manchester United fans on Twitter were not amused to hear that the club backed out of a potential move for Felix:
Useless board with clueless decision makers

More concerned about the price compared to his phyicality. Especially when we have the likes of Mata and Lingard playing regularly
