Manchester United: Fans lament potential return of Nemanja Matic

Manchester United fans have lamented the return of one man ahead of their last Europa League group game against AZ Alkmaar – with previously injured Nemanja Matic seemingly returning to the fold (via BBC Sport).
The 31-year-old has started just two league games all season for the Red Devils, down to mainly injury, with Scott McTominay and Fred thriving in his absence and forming a solid partnership in midfield over their last two domestic encounters.
Is it time for Manchester United to let Nemanja Matic go?
Yes

No

Of course, taking that into account, it’s unlikely Matic will start at home to the Toffees, but supporters are keen to not upset the balance of this team given their recent performances.
Regardless, in the overall picture, it seems supporters are not impressed with his return given the lack of influence he’s had over this past two seasons – with fans much preferring their current set up.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter over the Serbian’s return.
Just in time to ship him off in Jan!
