Manchester United: Fans react to Red Devils academy graduate James Garner’s birthday message

Many Manchester United fans reacted to a Twitter post from the club’s official account wishing James Garner a happy birthday.
Garner has bagged 8 goals in 10 games in Premier League 2 for the Red Devils development squad. He has also scored 3 goals in 5 matches for England U-19’s (Transfermarkt).
The defensive midfielder has spent his entire career at Old Trafford so far and was handed his first-team debut by club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, appearing as a late substitute for Fred in a 3-1 league win against Crystal Palace away at Selhurst Park (Transfermarkt).
Garner’s market value is priced at just £2.5m and the board could allow the 19-year-old to go out on loan in the summer as he finds himself below the Brazilian, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay in the pecking order (Transfermarkt).
Inter Milan are also reportedly interested in the academy product via The Sun.
Understandably the club’s tweet led to quite a few reactions from the United faithful, with several supporters agreeing the youngster should spend the next season on loan to stack some game time under his belt. One fan even compared Garner to Red Devils talisman Paul Pogba.
Take a look at some of the mixed reactions online…
This guy is too good to be with the reserves. He should go on loan definitely next season
