Manchester United: Fans slam decision to release Ashley Young at the end of the season

According to news from the Evening Standard via Utd Report, Manchester United look set to release Ashley Young at the end of the season with talks over a new deal still yet to take place – prompting some Red Devils supporters to slam the decision.
Do Manchester United need to sign Erling Haaland in January?
Yes

No

Young, who has made 258 appearances for United in all competitions since signing in 2011 from Aston Villa, has had a solid career at Old Trafford with some noteworthy highlights – including winning the Premier League title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season with the club.
The Englishman, in all that time, also managed to bag 19 goals and 43 assists from midfield – marking himself out during the early years as one of the Red Devils’ most potent attacking threats.
During the latter stages of his career with the club, Young also converted to full-back and impressed so much in the position it granted him a place in England’s 2018 World Cup squad.
However, the notion with most United supporters is that time isn’t up just yet – with some of them taking to Twitter and blasting the potential decision to release him.
Here’s what they had to say, with a couple believing he is still a better player than Luke Shaw.
Disgrace. He’s literally better than Shaw.
