After losing to Premier League bottom side Watford 2-0 at Vicarage Road, their first defeat since early November away to Bournemouth, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has allegedly hinted that being late for the game due to traffic could be a potential factor – with supporters going on to hammer the gaffer’s apparent verdict.
Responding to a Twitter post from the United Stand, one that hints Solskjaer could be directing the circumstances of this latest loss towards traffic, a section of fans went on to blast the manager – especially considering the run of decent results beforehand against rivals Manchester City and Tottenham.
A strike from Ismaila Sarr, fumbled by United ‘keeper David De Gea, gave the Hornets an unlikely lead before Troy Deeney buried a penalty to gift the home side a comfortable two-goal cushion.
Despite having good opportunities to draw blood, with Jesse Lingard and Scott McTominay both missing good chances, Solksjaer’s side couldn’t quite manage to salvage anything from the game.
Now, supporters have shown their frustration towards the manager for his comments – here’s what they had to say.
But as it’s Ole it’s ok. The guy getting away with it. Out if his depth. Cannot believe #MUFC fans accepting mid table because it’s a legend in charge. Dream for Woodward.

Utd have got themselves into a mess with Ole. We need to get rid of Ole and the back room staff as they are all part of the same shambolic mess. Can we please get professionals in to lead our club before we fall deeper into the abyss!

No! Not the traffic malarkey again! Really?

Been better if they hadn’t shown up… That was a terrible ‘performance’.
