According to a report from Mundo Deportivo via Manchester Evening News [12:58], Real Madrid are interested in Manchester United star Paul Pogba but are only willing to spend £50m to acquire his signature – prompting many supporters to scratch their heads at such a low offer and suggest alternatives.
United have been without Pogba’s influence for some weeks, with latest news from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggesting that the Frenchman is also likely to miss their upcoming Manchester derby clash at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The midfielder has made five appearances for the Red Devils in the Premier League so far this season, grabbing two assists, as compared to his brilliant statistics from last campaign – where the former Juventus man notched 13 goals and assisted nine others in 35 league appearances, as per WhoScored.com.
Controversy surrounding his absence has prompted supporters to wonder whether selling him is the best course of action, but Real Madrid’s supposed offer to the club is definitely not one they’re going to entertain.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
Man united only willing to sell phil jones for that price…

50 million and have that Hakimi at Dortmund might consider it. Rather keep him than sell to Madrid to be fair
