Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that his primary transfer target will be to sign a striker when the January window re-opens in just over three months’ time, via Manchester Evening News.
United are incredibly thin on the ground up front after the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan during the summer, with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford the only two ‘experienced’ front men currently available in that position at Old Trafford.
17-year-old Mason Greenwood is available as a backup to the aforementioned duo, though the teenager has such a lack of experience when it comes to senior football that the club are in desperate need of reinforcements to help out in the goalscoring department.
United lie 12th in the Premier League standings after eight matches and already look as though they’ll have a huge challenge on their hands to secure Champions League football next term.
The M.E.N recently discussed the possibility of the Red Devils signing Neymar and what the Brazilian would bring to the club if he did make a mega-money switch to the north of England next year. This comes after the Daily Mail reported the club were keen on the superstar over the course of the summer but ultimately decided against a deal.
United fans have had their say on the matter, though, with few interested in the idea of the 27-year-old joining the club…
Signing him would be an extension of everything we have done wrong since SAF retired

They can keep him we don’t need a circus plus we could get three players for the price of him ..

This man has been made of glass for the last 3 years? now, why would we sign ANOTHER left winger

Possibly the worse thing that the club could do

The guy is all done. United should NEVER contact him again.
