Manchester United have a chance of landing Juventus’ Paulo Dybala this summer should they meet the Italian outfit’s valuation of the player, according to a report by The Daily Mail.
It is claimed the Old Lady would be prepared to let their Argentine playmaker leave if they were to receive an offer between £70million and £90million and will not be drawn into any negotiations if those demands are not met.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be a huge admirer of the 25-year-old and could be prepared to make a move for him should he lose either Paul Pogba or Romelu Lukaku in the transfer window.
It is not difficult to understand why Solskjaer is an admirer of Dybala’s talent and why he believes the Argentina international could be the man to help unlock opponent’s defence with his ability in the final third of the pitch.
In 182 games for Juventus, Dybala has scored 78 goals and provided 30 assists (via Transfermarkt), having played in a number of different attacking positions for the Old Lady over the last four years.
Although mainly a centre-forward, the South American can be used as a secondary striker and could still prove effective and provide the competition Solskjaer is looking to add. The 25-year-old is deadly in front of goal when utilised in that position, having netted 43 goals in his 93 appearances.
Goals are something Manchester United lacked last season and found difficult at times, with the Red Devils scoring just 65 in the Premier League and finishing fifth in the rankings just ahead of Chelsea.
Dybala could be a brilliant addition to Manchester United in the summer as he could provide them with the additional goal threat the club need to challenge the other five sides at the top of the Premier League.
However, whether the Red Devils decide to meet Juventus’ valuation of between £70m-£90m remains to be seen whilst it would appear as though they will need to see either Pogba or Lukaku leave Old Trafford in order for it to happen.
Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are also said to be interested in Dybala as well, so Solskjaer might have to be quick if he wants the player he admires to team up with him in the near future.
