Manchester United launch enquiry for 22-year-old

Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are confident that their side is going to get into the Premier League title race and stay this season.

The Old Trafford side quickly fell away last year as the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham pulled away and now it is up to Jose Mourinho to try and get the players going from the very start.

For sure, then, he’ll be hoping that Romelu Lukaku is one of the players to deliver the goods and whilst we wait to see if he does just that, United appear interested in Leander Dendoncker – according to The Manchester Evening News.

Indeed, the club has apparently made an enquiry over the player but they do not expect to actually sign him this summer from Anderlecht.

This, then, could be a rather drawn out process for the midfielder who has impressed with some rather dominant displays in the middle of the park.

Indeed, he could be the kind of player to take over from the likes of Michael Carrick and new signing Nemanja Matic when they are no longer at the club.

Landlord’s Verdict

Dendoncker looks a real gem and though United may not try to sign him this summer they do appear to be the club leading the race to sign him when he does become available.

Indeed, in making themselves known as admirers of the player, they will have already caught his attention and now a good season from him could see the move made next summer.
