With the outbreak of the coronavirus seemingly getting out of hand and stronger as time goes on, football and sports in general are in real danger of being completely put on hold.
And with so many games being under a question mark and fixtures being cancelled, postponed or just played behind closed doors across Europe, many fans found themselves rather disappointed having already made big travel arrangements to support their teams.
But Manchester United decided to prevent any possible hiccups on the way by agreeing to pay £350 towards the travel and accommodation costs of each supporter who bought an away ticket for their European clash with LASK, as was reported recently.
And The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell thinks that was a really classy act and a great move by the Red Devils who have once again shown that they care for their fans.
Great move from United, club paying £350 towards the travel + accommodation costs of each supporter who bought an away ticket for LASK.
Not often I get the 👏🏻 emoji out, but warranted here.
Around 700 fans, done in recognition of ‘phenomenal’ backing abroad. #MUFC

Maybe this is something other clubs should also consider since the circumstances are quite dire and the virus and all the possible ripple effects of it spreading are becoming quite serious.
Man United fans, did you expect your club to make such a classy move? Were you among the ones getting the funds? Let us know down in the comment section below!
